3rd Party Software Incompatibilities

Please be aware that Kaspersky Antivirus and many times Norton Antivirus software are not compatible with MedRx Avant Software. These antivirus software programs may prevent access to microphones and cause pixaudio errors or completely block the MedRx drivers.

Windows 10 antivirus may cause this as well, but has simple settings to resolve. In Windows 10 Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone, make sure microphone access is allowed. This will resolve the issue with the default Windows 10 antivirus.

It is recommended that these programs are removed from the customers computer. Windows 10 has built in virus protection that is very good and there are other companies that have antivirus if needed (i.e. Avast Antivirus).

Norton/Kaspersky and other virus programs can also be used if the MedRx .exe file in the quarantine vault has the setting changed to “not scan this file” so it is trusted by the program.
