Enable Debugging in REM

This article explains how to enable logging in the Avant software for IMC2 protocols. IMC2 refers to Genie Autofit and Resound AutoREM. If errors are occurring while using either Genie or Adventa software, you will need to obtain the logs to allow for troubleshooting.

All Avant logs must be copied immediately following the AutoFit/AutoREM session and before running another session.

Instructions

Start by opening registry settings type “RegEdit” in the search bar

Run RegEdit.exe

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> MedRx

Right click inside the right-hand window, select New-> DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it DebugAPI

Then right click the DebugAPI record you created and select modify

Change Value from 0 to 1 and click ok

Now navigate to AvantREMX on the left side. Add the same DebugAPI and change the value to 1

Perform the REM Autofit until the error occurs.

You should be able to copy and paste this link C:\ProgramData\MedRx and see the log files. There should be two error logs as text files after the folders
